How To Plan The Ultimate Hen Party
Apr 30,2024
Got the job of planning a hen party? Whether it’s your best friend or sister getting hitched, you’ll want to make it a party to remember. Maybe you and the bride tribe are splashing out with a big celebration abroad, hosting a low-key pamper weekend in a countryside lodge, or organising a fancy dinner.
However you’re celebrating the bride-to-be, we're here to make your planning easier with our top tips and fashion choices for hosting the ultimate hen do. Plus, spend and save on all our fun hen party accessories and team bride tee’s right here in our hen party collection.
1. Check in with the bride
The most important thing of course, is to find out the bride’s preferences. Chances are, if you’ve been given the planning duties, you already know what they like pretty well, but if you’re keeping it all a surprise, it’s a good idea to establish anything she definitely doesn’t want.
2. Who’s on the guest list?
Who to invite is ultimately best decided by the bride herself. You’ll be confident that she has everyone she wants there, including her closest friends, family and in-laws to be. So get the guest list together and create a group chat to keep everyone in the loop.
3. Set the date and location
Determine with the bride a few possible date options for when she’d like the celebration and work out what works with all the guests. The location might be kept a surprise from the bride, but once you’ve collectively decided on where it’ll be, you can get to the exciting things...
4. Choose the theme
Are you having a theme? Choosing a hen party theme will set the scene for the event and make it easier to get decorations, choose party favours and plan outfits. Whether it’s a cute boho theme, or you’re embracing the Grease era with classic pink ladies jackets, take inspiration from the bride’s favourite movie, TV show or colour.
5. Plan activities and make reservations
Now for the fun stuff! Aside from the bride spending time with all her loved ones, the activities, outings and party games, ultimately make the weekend. It could be karaoke, a dinner reservation or drinking games, but booking things in advance and having some sort of itinerary will ensure you get the most out of the celebration. (Don't forget the food!)
6. Get matching tee’s & accessories
It’s not a hen do without some matching tee’s for the bride tribe and the bride herself. Match in our ‘Team Bride’ t-shirts or Bride’s Babe sweatshirts paired with some fun ‘Team Bride’ sunglasses. Then get the bride her very own Bride To Be sweatshirt glammed up with a pearl headband and white veil. Shop our full hen party edit for all our slogan clothes and accessories.
